Orange Gingerbread Protein Smoothie (Paleo, Sugar-Free)
So, back to reality. When we returned from our amazing trip to Austria (I will totally write about it later) the real life stuff hit me pretty hard. We have just 3 weeks left before our trip to Thailand (and moving to Australia after that, you can read a bit more about it in the Big Step story) and I’m starting to freak out a little.
Today we moved more things from our apartment, sold few and gave even more away. And I’m trying not to feel attached to them. As I already said before, they are just things, right? And I’m definitely not carrying them with me around Thailand. At least this thought helps a bit. It’s all about the basics from now on.
And since we have only a week left in our lovely place (then we will crash at my brothers house for a bit, so glad for this possibility) we’ve already got rid of lots of our kitchen equipment along with other belongings. So things are really going to be simple and basic, even in this area of our lives. But being basic in the kitchen doesn’t have to be bad. Sometimes the beauty is in the simplicity. Like with this Orange Gingerbread Protein Smoothie (Paleo, Sugar-Free).
- 200 ml Brazil nut milk (or store bought almond milk)
- 1 orange, peeled and cut into pieces
- 1 scoop of chocolate protein (I used GoNutrition Paleo Protein)
- 1 tsp of gingerbread spice
- Place all the ingredients to a blender and blend to a smooth texture.
- Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy.
Do you also feel emotional while getting rid of your things? Or do you just let go? I would love to hear from you.
